Theme: Climate Change

Description: My journey to create the story #ClimateChangeIsReal began with a series of long journeys across different parts of Jammu and Kashmir. I met with saffron growers, journalists, nomads, survivors of the 2014 floods, and honey bee growers to learn about the impact of climate change on their lives and livelihoods. This research-based story provides clear evidence that climate change is real and that we must take action to protect our planet. I have created a detailed documentary video about my findings, which has received a positive response from people all over India. Several celebrities have also shared the content. This documentary not only raises awareness about climate change, but it also emphasizes the importance of individual action. We all have a role to play in addressing this global crisis

Translation: Host, RJ Umar: Hello, hi, welcome. Assalamu Alaikum. I am Umar Nisar. And I always say that I am talking to you from Kashmir's Valley. When it comes to Jannah (Heaven Kashmir), will Kashmir always stay Jannah? This is a significant question that we all should ask ourselves because we have destroyed Dal Lake, our world-famous lake. If we talk about the Wular Lake, it is also being destroyed. And Kashmir's apples, known worldwide, will they always remain? Will Kashmir's saffron always endure? I am talking about climate change, about the climate crisis. But this will not happen in the studio today. I will travel from my studio to every corner of Kashmir. I would like to know if climate change is true or not. Let's hear it. Speaker One (Flood Victim): When floods came in 2014, this place was not visible anywhere. Obviously, when we play with nature, when nature plays with us, it is bad for us. Speaker 2 - Honey Producer: Kashmir was very rich in honey production. But behind me, you can see now it is dead because of climate change. Speaker 3 - Saffron Grower: Our saffron is considered a diamond. It has a significant impact on climate change, causing the harvest to decrease day by day. Speaker 4 - Nomad: We are always in danger during landslides. We have a whole family. We know that we have cows, goats, goats. We have a lot of problems with that. RJ Umar: Now we have heard about climate change and the climate crisis. All those people live in different parts of Kashmir, and I can say that they are victims of this crisis. And yes, I can say that we all have to be friends with nature. Because if we do harm to nature, we may not be. Now the request is that we all do not have to be part of the climate crisis, but we all have to be part of change. You know, it starts in the morning when we waste water in our washroom. And the most important thing is not to use plastic at all. And yes, we have to accept LIFE, which means Lifestyle for the Environment. And yes, please take the pledge with me. Let's all be friends with nature. And let's take the pledge and be part of the change.
